Balance Poux: You have had quite a few tourist days...enjoy the beach too. It is Italian Beach...it counts as site seeing. Even if all you do is eat Gelato and read your book basking in the sun. So permission granted to see as much of the beach as you want. I insist!
Looks kinda like a Pacific NW beach. Was the water warm?
It did actually look like a Pacific NW beach - but the sand was not course and gritty like at home. Instead, it was super fine, like something you'd find on Miami beach. It was weird to see dark sand that was so delicate.
The water wasn't "warm", but it wasn't cold either. There were people swimming, but I chose not to. I didn't think a 45 min vaporetto ride while being wet and sandy sounded like fun.
